That's Mike standing between Jim Leavell and R. V. Burgin. Mr. Leavell, who was at Pearl Harbor, is the officer standing beside Lee Harvey Oswald in the picture when Oswald is shot by Jack Ruby. R. V. Burgin is the author of Islands of the Damned, and served in the Pacific and his character was featured in four of the episodes of the HBO series, The Pacific. |
